Friendly Fires announce fourth album 'Dig Deeper' and new single 'Magnetic'

Friendly Fires have revealed details of their long-awaited fourth album, 'Dig Deeper', which is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027, through LAB Records. The 11-track project follows their 2019 album, 'Inflorescent'.

Alongside the album announcement, the band has released a new single titled 'Magnetic'. Frontman Ed Macfarlane explained that the song explores the difficulties of resisting temptation when faced with undeniable chemistry.

The album's tracklist includes previously released single 'Lose All Your Friends', which arrived last month, as well as new titles like 'Leap Of Faith', 'Gold Dust', 'Orbital', and 'Catherine Wheel'. Macfarlane described the album as containing "some of the best music we’ve written," noting that its creation involved tackling personal topics and revisiting the band's core influences.

Friendly Fires have also confirmed an intimate gig at London's Moth Club for next Thursday, September 24, 2026. Additionally, they have announced a trio of European dates for January 2027, with performances planned in Berlin, Amsterdam, and Paris.
