England midfielder Declan Rice is reportedly nearing an agreement on a new long-term contract with Arsenal. Sources have indicated to BBC Sport that the process is now at an advanced stage.
Rice, 27, has been a pivotal figure for the Gunners since joining from West Ham in July 2023 for £105m. His current deal is due to expire at the end of the next season, with talks over a new contract having been underway since March.
The proposed new deal is expected to include a significant pay increase for Rice, reportedly placing his salary on par with Bukayo Saka, who is believed to earn around £350,000 a week. This development follows the announcement on Tuesday of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta's new four-year deal with the Premier League champions.
