A new rendition of Dolly Parton's iconic song "Jolene" will be released on 9 October, featuring the legendary country artist singing parts in Welsh. This posthumous release, recorded before her death on 25 August, is a collaboration with Welsh singer-songwriter Bronwen Lewis and Parton's niece, Jada Star.

The collaboration originated after Bronwen Lewis posted a video of herself singing "Jolene" in Welsh, which caught the attention of Parton's family. Jada Star then suggested recording the song in Welsh, with her aunt Dolly Parton also joining the project.

Parton, who was of Welsh descent, recorded her Welsh parts in early 2025 at her Nashville studio, after understanding the phonetics of Lewis' translation. Star and Lewis stated that Parton was "proud" to sing in Welsh. This is the second posthumous release from Parton, who also has a song with U2 due in November and another track in a time capsule for 2046.
