Drag Race UK is set to leave the BBC after eight series, the broadcaster has confirmed. Future series of the show, presented by RuPaul, along with its spin-off vs The World, will be broadcast on Wow Presents Plus, a streaming platform owned by the production company behind the programme.
A BBC spokesperson stated the channel is facing "very difficult choices" due to "significant financial pressures." The corporation is currently working to achieve £500m in savings.
The current series of Drag Race UK, which began in September 2026, will continue to air on BBC Three and be available on iPlayer. All existing series will also remain accessible on iPlayer after the move is complete.
Wow Presents Plus announced on Instagram that a "new era" of Drag Race UK is approaching. A new series, Drag Race UK All Stars, featuring returning fan-favourites, is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Wow Presents Plus in Autumn 2027.
