Matteullah Siddiqi, 20, has been jailed for six years and nine months after admitting to exploiting a 14-year-old schoolboy to sell drugs. The High Court in Glasgow heard that Siddiqi met the teenager at a games arcade in Glasgow city centre in 2025.
The boy was persuaded to join Siddiqi, initially believing he could use the money to help his mother. He was then taken to drug dens in Glasgow and Paisley, where he was shown how to package crack cocaine and distribute samples to addicts.
The teenager's school attendance deteriorated, leading teachers to contact his mother. The boy later confessed to delivering "heavy drugs" and was subsequently referred to the Home Office National Referral Mechanism, which concluded he was a "victim of exploitation."
Siddiqi was also convicted of being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine, and aggravated assault of a police officer during his arrest.
