The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced their intention to return to the UK, six years after they departed. Their decision was reportedly communicated to King Charles on Sunday, who is said not to have been involved in the decision-making process.
Within two weeks, Prince Harry and Meghan will be installed in a private non-royal residence located outside London. Their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, are already enrolled in British schools.
The reasons for this return have not been explicitly stated. The couple will maintain their homes in California and Portugal, and Meghan will continue to operate her lifestyle brand, As Ever, from their new UK base.
