A man has been charged in connection with the Manchester synagogue attack that occurred on 2 October 2025. Counter terrorism police stated that Hekmat Omar Ali Hakim, 49, of St James Road, Higher Broughton, Salford, has been charged with failing to disclose information regarding terrorist activity.
Police confirmed that the charge "relates directly" to the attack on the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue. The incident resulted in the deaths of two men, and the attacker, Jihad Al-Shamie, was shot by police and died at the scene.
Mr Hakim has been remanded to appear before Westminster Magistrates Court on Friday.
