The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, undertook a series of charity events in Nottingham today. This marks the Duchess's first day of events on British soil in several years.
During their visit, Harry and Meghan engaged with charities and met volunteers. The events included activities such as baking cupcakes, making West African food, playing pool, and trying basketball.
Buckingham Palace has stated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are viewed as private citizens and their activities do not hold royal status. Despite this, the return of Harry and Meghan has reportedly unsettled the Royal Family, with King Charles III receiving only a few days' notice in August about their return to the UK with their children.
The joint event in Nottingham is not expected to be a regular occurrence but will happen occasionally. Representatives for the Sussexes have indicated that both have separate interests, with Meghan planning to launch a UK version of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, potentially before Christmas.
