Division Two leaders Durham will need to score four runs on the final day of their County Championship match against Gloucestershire to claim victory. Bad light brought an early end to day three at Chester-le-Street, preventing Durham from beginning their chase.
Durham's Kasey Aldridge delivered a superb nine-wicket match haul, including 4-47 in Gloucestershire's second innings, backing up his first innings five-for. Despite Aldridge's efforts, the weather meant the hosts' victory charge will extend into day four.
Gloucestershire were bowled out for 250 in their second innings, setting Durham a target of four runs. The players did not emerge from their dressing rooms to start the chase before play was called off just after 18:20 BST.
