DWP discontinues statistics on two-child benefit limit and housing benefit processing

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has ceased publishing statistics related to the two-child limit for Universal Credit and Child Tax Credit, and on the speed of processing Housing Benefit claims.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed the discontinuation of several statistical publications. Among these are the statistics concerning the policy that provides support for a maximum of two children in Universal Credit and Child Tax Credit, which ceased in July 2026.

Additionally, the DWP has stopped publishing data on the speed of processing Housing Benefit claims. This series, which measured the average time to process new claims or changes to existing ones, also ended in July 2026.

Other discontinued series include the 'Parental conflict indicator', which provided statistics on the proportion of children affected by parental conflict in families, ending in August 2026.
