England's Nations League away fixture against Croatia this weekend is set to take place behind closed doors. This is due to a two-game punishment imposed on the host nation following crowd trouble last year.
Croatia received a substantial fine and was ordered to play their subsequent home game without an audience, and their next away match without travelling fans. These sanctions stemmed from incidents during their Nations League quarter-final against France.
Despite the ban, 100 complimentary tickets have been allocated to England fans. Additionally, between 3,000 and 6,000 Croatian pupils will be permitted to watch the game at Stadion HNK Rijeka.
England began their Nations League campaign with a 3-2 home defeat to Spain on 26 September. The Three Lions then secured a 2-0 victory over Czechia on 29 September, with goals from Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane.
After facing Croatia on Saturday at 17:00, England will return home to play the Czech Republic again on Tuesday 6 October. They will then host Croatia on 12 November, before concluding the group stage away to Spain on 15 November.
