Actress and comedian Fiona Allen, 61, will return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year with her new show, 'White Lies'. The performances are scheduled to take place at Edinburgh’s Gilded Balloon Teviot from 5 to 29 August.
Allen, who was born in Lancashire and attended drama school in Salford, previously brought her show 'On the Run' to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023, followed by a UK tour. Her career includes co-writing and starring in the Emmy-winning and Bafta-nominated TV sketch show 'Smack the Pony' from 1999.
She has also appeared in television series such as 'Shameless', 'Skins', 'Waterloo Road', and 'EastEnders'. Her film credits include '24 Hour Party People', 'Fat Slags', 'Gladiatress', and 'Finding Emily'.
