A free maintenance reporting service has been launched for landlords who own up to four properties. The service, provided by proptech platform Lettie, enables tenants to report repairs using WhatsApp.
All communications and actions related to repair issues are automatically recorded in a time-stamped audit trail, from the initial notification through to resolution. Lettie estimates that 83% of landlords in England, based on government figures, would qualify for this free plan.
The service also offers photographic fault analysis, a web dashboard, a prioritised issue log, automated tenant onboarding, certificate tracking, and a compliance evidence locker. Calum Hopkins, co-founder of Qualisync, the company behind Lettie, stated that the aim was to remove cost as a barrier to good maintenance reporting.
While the service is free for landlords managing up to four properties, additional properties can be added for £2.50 per property per month.
