Great Britain has clinched the top spot on the medals table at the European Aquatics Championships in Paris, concluding the competition with 14 gold medals. The team also secured four silvers and eight bronzes, bringing their total medal count to 26.
On Sunday's final day, Keanna MacInnes, 24, was instrumental, winning two golds. She claimed victory in the 200m butterfly with a new Scottish record of two minutes 5.90 seconds. MacInnes then swam the fly leg as Great Britain triumphed in the women's 4x100m medley.
The women's 4x100m medley team, which included Angharad Evans, Lauren Cox, and Freya Colbert alongside MacInnes, stormed to victory in a championship record time of three minutes 53.50 seconds. Angharad Evans contributed with the fastest ever women's relay breaststroke leg, following her individual 100m breaststroke gold.
Of Great Britain's 26 medals, 14 were earned in swimming events, including eight golds. Filip Nowacki, 18, secured a gold in the men's 200m breaststroke on Thursday. The squad also performed strongly in diving, with two golds, two silvers, and three bronzes, and in artistic swimming, where they won four golds and a bronze. Great Britain topped the medal tables in both swimming and artistic swimming.
