Girl In Red, whose real name is Marie Ulven, has released her new single 'Blue' today, 9 October 2026. This marks her first new music in over a year, following the release of 'Hemingway' last summer.
The new track, released via Columbia Records, explores themes of uncertainty and the feeling of loss after a relationship concludes. Ulven had previously hinted at new music by changing elements of her online presence to blue.
'Blue' is accompanied by a music video, directed by Ulven's long-term creative partner Isak Jenssen. The video was filmed in her hometown of Oslo and depicts how heartbreak has influenced her.
Ulven is also set to make her acting debut in the film 'Low Expectations', which is scheduled for release in the UK and Ireland in early 2027.
