Scottish rock band Simple Minds headline the musical entertainment, with BEMZ, Cammy Barnes, Sandi Thom and Australian singer Delta Goodrem also performing. Goodrem makes her third appearance at a Commonwealth Games ceremony, having performed at the 2006 Melbourne and 2018 Gold Coast opening ceremonies.

The ceremony will include a formal handover to Ahmedabad, the Indian city hosting the 2030 Games, with performances by Shankar Mahadevan and Rashmika Mandanna.
