Kerr Claims Commonwealth Gold, Northern Ireland Wins Bowls Gold

Josh Kerr continued his successful summer by securing a Commonwealth gold medal in the mile event. The 28-year-old Scot finished with a time of 3:54.12, making a decisive move with 250 metres remaining.

In the men's pairs gold medal match, Northern Ireland's Adam McKeown and Gary Kelly triumphed over England's Nick Brett and Jamie Walker. Malaysia's Amirul Danial Abdul Rahim and Mohammad Soufi Rusli earned the bronze medal in the same event.

Australia claimed the netball bronze medal, defeating England 68-50. This victory followed their unexpected defeat to Jamaica the previous day.

Swimmer Adam Ramsay-Peaty, who has won three medals (two bronze, one silver) at the Commonwealth Games, expressed frustration over not achieving gold and criticised media intrusion into his private life.
