Jack Grealish reportedly favours a return to Everton should he depart Manchester City in the final days of the transfer window, according to sources speaking to BBC Sport. The 30-year-old has featured as a substitute in City's first two games of the season.
New Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca is open to the English player leaving the club before Tuesday's transfer deadline. Maresca stated on Thursday, "Jack is here. Until the day he is, it my duty to try and help him to give us the best. In the next four, five days, we will see what happens. I speak with Jack almost everyday."
Grealish spent last season on loan with the Toffees, contributing two goals and six assists in 20 appearances before a foot injury ended his season in January. While Everton chief executive Angus Kinnear recently told BBC Radio Merseyside the club has "remained in contact" with Grealish, City sources report no concrete offers for the player have been received from any club this summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester City is interested in signing Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, who has rejected multiple contract offers on Merseyside. David Moyes' side is reportedly under no pressure to sell Ndiaye, whose contract runs until 2029, and may demand a significant fee around £70m to consider a sale.
