Guidance on NHS Appeals Updated for Compensation Recovery Scheme

New guidance states that appeals regarding NHS charges cannot be made until compensation claims are settled and all due monies are paid to the Compensation Recovery Unit (CRU).

New guidance for the Compensation Recovery Scheme specifies that an appeal concerning NHS charges cannot be lodged until the related compensation claim is fully settled and all outstanding payments listed on the Certificate have been made to the Compensation Recovery Unit (CRU).

The updated technical guidance also incorporates new NHS treatment and ambulance journey charges, with additions for dates including 1 October 2025, 1 October 2024, 1 April 2024, and 2 October 2023. Earlier charges from 1 April 2023 and 1 April 2022 have also been added to the section on NHS treatment and ambulance journey charges.

Other changes include updates to contact details for the Isle of Man Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme and revised opening hours for the CRU, now operating from 8am to 5pm.
