Manchester City continued their winning streak, with Enzo Maresca becoming the first manager in history to win his first seven games in charge of a team. Ipswich were the latest side to fall to City, in their first home Premier League game since being found to have breached financial rules.

Phil Foden initiated the triumph, scoring his first goal since mid-December. Erling Haaland then secured the points for City with a clinical double, moving them six points clear of their nearest challengers. Ipswich managed to score through Daizen Maeda and Zian Flemming's late penalty.

City enjoyed significant possession in the opening quarter hour, with Maresca making six changes to refresh the side. Rúben Dias provided an early threat, and Jérémy Doku was a key instigator in Foden's opening goal. Haaland later scored a header, which Christian Walton could not keep out, and then added a second with an aggressive finish from a precision pass by Iliman Ndiaye.
