Hain's Century Propels Warwickshire Closer to County Championship Title

Sam Hain's impressive century at Edgbaston has edged Warwickshire closer to securing their ninth County Championship title. Hain compiled 142 runs from 301 balls, his 21st first-class century, and reached 1,000 first-class runs for the season for the second time.

Hain was supported by captain Ed Barnard, who made 88 runs, contributing to a 165-run partnership over 50 overs. Warwickshire reached a total of 372, establishing a substantial first-innings lead of 247 against relegation-threatened Leicestershire.

Leicestershire, bowled out for 125 in their first innings, closed day two on 55-3. Bears paceman Ethan Bamber took two wickets, increasing his season's tally to 66. Chris Woakes also secured a wicket, leaving Warwickshire potentially one strong session away from the title.
