Hayley Williams has demonstrated support for artists who withdrew from Ed Sheeran's 'Loop' tour by featuring their music in her pre-show playlist. This action follows the dismissal of Macklemore from Sheeran's tour after he delivered a "free Palestine" speech during a performance at Gillette Stadium in New Jersey.
Robert Kraft, owner of Gillette Stadium, confirmed that he found Macklemore's speech "deeply offensive and hurtful to the Jewish community," leading to his removal. Subsequently, all of Sheeran's support acts and backing band, including FINNEAS, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe, and Beoga, have departed the tour, issuing statements in solidarity with Macklemore.
Williams' pre-show playlist, played before her solo tour performance at Forest Hills Stadium in New York on Wednesday, September 16, included tracks such as Macklemore's 'Can't Hold Us' and 'Thrift Shop', Lukas Graham's 'Mama Said', Finneas' 'For Cryin' Out Loud', Rowe's 'The Lane', and Beoga's 'Aurora II'.
