Gaming innovator Hideo Kojima marked his 63rd birthday yesterday, August 24, by reflecting on his age and future in game creation. He shared on social media that as he gets older, the number of things he feels he "have to do" and "want to do" continues to grow, while the available time diminishes.

Kojima, known for titles like Metal Gear and Death Stranding, is currently developing two new intellectual properties: the horror anthology OD and the action espionage game Physint. He is also involved in live-action and anime adaptations of Death Stranding. OD currently lacks a release date, and Physint is reportedly not expected to launch until 2030.

This year also marks a significant milestone for Kojima, as it is his 40th anniversary in game creation and the tenth anniversary of his studio, Kojima Productions. He stated his intention to remain focused on creating games, despite receiving various opportunities and offers.
