Pulp has announced a pop-up pub in Manchester, set to open this Friday, August 28. The Rat & Pigeon pub, located at 33 Back Piccadilly in the city centre, will host a series of events ahead of the band's exclusive UK headline show at Wythenshawe Park.
The pop-up will feature live music, competitions, and limited-edition merchandise. Frontman Jarvis Cocker has curated the jukebox, and the venue will display rare Pulp memorabilia from the band's archive. Test pressings of their upcoming live album, 'Live!', will also be available.
The pub will operate from midday to 7pm on Friday, 12pm until late on Saturday, and 12pm until 2pm on Sunday.
In addition to the Manchester show, Pulp is also releasing a new concert film, 'What Do You Do For An Encore?', which will be available in cinemas and on MUBI soon. The film is set to preview in UK and Irish cinemas on September 18, with streaming availability from September 25.
