Holafly has been named the best value eSIM for travel in 2026, according to the Travel eSIM Value Index 2026. The analysis compared three leading providers: Holafly, Saily, and Airalo, evaluating them across five factors including Pricing Efficiency, Included Benefits, Customer Experience, Travel Flexibility, and Connection Readiness.
Holafly achieved the highest overall score of 91.1 out of 100, ahead of Saily (86.7) and Airalo (78.6). Pricing Efficiency, which accounts for 35 percent of the overall score, was the most heavily weighted category. This factor calculated the real trip cost for journeys between 1 and 30 days, considering whether travellers had to pay for unused days.
Holafly scored 100/100 for Pricing Efficiency by allowing customers to purchase plans for the exact duration of their trip. In contrast, Airalo and Saily often require buying fixed-duration plans, which can mean paying for mobile data that is not needed. Holafly and Saily both scored 100 in the Included Benefits category, though they offer different features, with Holafly providing 'Always On' backup data and Saily including an integrated VPN.
For customer experience, Holafly also led with a score of 90.75, partly due to its refund policy offering eligible customers up to 180 days to request a refund, compared to 30 days for Saily and 14 days for Airalo. All three providers received similar Trustpilot ratings of 4.7/5.
