Human bones found in the garden of a bungalow in Biggin Hill, south-east London, are undergoing further tests by the Metropolitan Police. Officers were called to Aperfield Road at approximately 15:30 BST last Friday.

Specialist examination confirmed the bones were human. Police stated that further tests are now being conducted to establish their age and identity.

The area around the home was cordoned off for six days. A resident reportedly told The Sun newspaper that builders discovered something on Friday, leading to a halt in renovation work at the property.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed that the crime scene is now closed, and an investigation remains ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
