Hundreds of mourners, some accompanied by their dogs, lined Cricklade High Street for the funeral of Barbara Mullaney, a popular pet shop owner whose death police are investigating as a murder.
Ms Mullaney, who was in her 70s, had operated the Animal Fayre shop, known to many as Aunty Barbara's, in Cricklade, Wiltshire, for more than 30 years. She died in a crash on 30 June on the B4696 between Brinkworth Road and Lydiard Plain, near Royal Wootton Bassett.
Anthony Howells, 43, of no fixed address, has been charged with her murder. He also faces charges of dangerous driving, driving with no insurance, failing to stop after a road accident, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
The cortege paused briefly outside the shop before proceeding to the North Wiltshire Crematorium. Dogs barked as the hearse was led down the high street, and dozens of floral tributes have been left outside the store.
