  • He considers 'Mandy' by Barry Manilow a secret favourite, despite finding it 'soppy' and 'melodramatic'.
  • Vine wants 'Heaven Is a Place on Earth' by Belinda Carlisle played live at his funeral.

Jeremy Vine has shared insights into his musical tastes, detailing songs that have marked significant moments in his life. He recalls playing 'Love My Way' by the Psychedelic Furs repeatedly after an unrequited kiss from a fellow sixth-former.

Among his other choices, Vine named 'Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town' by Kenny Rogers as a song he inexplicably knows every lyric to. He also expressed a fondness for 'Mandy' by Barry Manilow, despite describing it as 'soppy' and 'melodramatic'.

Vine cited 'Sound and Vision' by David Bowie as a life-changing song, which he first heard at age 12. For his funeral, he hopes to have Belinda Carlisle perform 'Heaven Is a Place on Earth' live.
