Legendary guitarist Johnny Marr is preparing to auction 80 of his guitars on September 17. The collection features instruments he played with The Smiths and Billie Eilish, and is currently part of an exhibition at Christie’s in London.

Marr recently visited the exhibition with Noel Gallagher to explore the stories behind the guitars. Among them is a 1982 black Rickenbacker 330 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, which Marr used to compose 'This Charming Man' and 'What Difference Does It Make'. This instrument is expected to fetch up to £80,000.

Another notable item is a red Gibson ES-355TDSV electric guitar, estimated to sell for between £100,000 and £150,000. Marr will donate all proceeds from the hammer price to The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and The National Autistic Society.

The auction also includes amplifiers, gold and silver records, harmonicas, and memorabilia from The Smiths. Marr's fifth solo album, 'The Age Of Everything', is scheduled for release on October 2.
