French DJ and electronic music star Kavinsky, whose real name was Vincent Belorgey, has died at the age of 50. Authorities found the musician in his Paris home on Tuesday night (July 28) at approximately 10:30pm local time.

According to French news outlet Le Figaro, a concerned neighbour contacted emergency services after not seeing the artist for several days. The newspaper reported that the cause of death was believed to be a stroke, and Kavinsky had reportedly told those close to him about struggling with severe headaches in the days leading up to his passing.

Following his death, many fans have been remembering Kavinsky's hit song 'Nightcall', which famously features in the opening sequence of Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 film 'Drive'. The soundtrack for 'Drive', featuring 'Nightcall', reached number one in both the US and the UK.
