Khamzat Chimaev, the former UFC middleweight champion, is scheduled to compete in a wrestling match against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in Russia on September 5. The bout will headline a Real American Freestyle (RAF) show in Moscow.
Chimaev, 32, recently lost his UFC middleweight title to Sean Strickland in May, marking his first defeat in mixed martial arts. Following this, he wrestled Dillon Danis in June, winning by pinfall.
Woodley, 44, held the UFC's 170lb title between 2016 and 2019, defending it four times. His last competition was in December on the undercard of Jake Paul's fight against Anthony Joshua, where Woodley lost to Anderson Silva by knockout.
