Landmark Information Group has launched a new search bundle, the Sales Pack Ready kit, to assist estate agents and property professionals in preparing for the Government's proposed home buying and selling reforms. The kit combines various searches and property information, including a Personal Local Search, a Drainage and Water Search, and Homecheck Residential.
The introduction of the bundle follows Landmark's data indicating that the average time from instruction to completion for property transactions has risen to 123 days. This represents an 18% increase since 2019 and a 64% increase since 2007.
Simon Brown, Chief Executive at Landmark Information Group, stated that the move towards greater upfront property information, supported by Project 28 and Government reforms, will require the market to adapt how transactions are prepared and information is shared. He added that the solution is an important step towards more informed, connected, and certain transactions from the outset.
The Government's reform roadmap aims to reduce transaction times and enhance transparency in property sales. Landmark's package is designed to align with these forthcoming regulatory requirements, though specific implementation timelines for the reforms have not been confirmed.
