Leeds United delivered a commanding performance to beat Newcastle United 4-1 at Elland Road, securing their unbeaten start to the Premier League season and ascending to third in the table.

Daniel Farke's side established a strong lead in the first half, with a Lewis Miley own goal and a Jayden Bogle finish putting them ahead, before Dominic Calvert-Lewin added a third goal before the break. The dominance continued into the second half as Noah Okafor scored a fourth for Leeds. Substitute Bazoumana Toure managed a late consolation goal for Newcastle.

Newcastle faced an early setback when summer signing Nico Gonzalez was replaced in the 20th minute after being struck in the face by the ball. Despite initial pressure and a denied penalty appeal for Leeds, the home side took control with two quick goals.

The victory marks Leeds' first against Newcastle in seven matches, with the visitors failing to trouble home goalkeeper James Trafford until Toure's late shot.
