Leeds United secured a dramatic 4-2 victory over Liverpool in a pre-season friendly at Soldier Field in Chicago. Daniel Farke's side staged a convincing comeback after trailing 2-0 at half-time, handing new Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola his first pre-season defeat.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin netted a brace for Leeds, with Brenden Aaronson and Sean Longstaff also scoring within a 25-minute period in the second half. Liverpool's first-half goals came from Luke Chambers and Florian Wirtz, who had put them in a commanding position at the break.

The match saw a significant drop-off in Liverpool's performance after half-time changes, which included the departures of Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Trey Nyoni, and Rio Ngumoha. Leeds capitalised on this, with their goals stemming from set-pieces and a mistake by Liverpool's Milos Kerkez.

The friendly fixture drew an impressive crowd of 49,128 spectators to Soldier Field, highlighting the appeal of both clubs even in a pre-season encounter.
