Leeds United are reportedly on the cusp of securing a significant transfer, with a £40m deal for Manchester City's 23-year-old England goalkeeper James Trafford said to be close to agreement. This potential move would see Trafford depart the reigning Premier League champions.

In other transfer news, Manchester City are preparing for a possible bid from Spanish giants Real Madrid for their 30-year-old World Cup-winning Spain midfielder, Rodri. Despite this, City reportedly remain hopeful that Rodri will sign a new contract.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace have reached an agreement on personal terms with 19-year-old French centre-back Raphael Le Guen from Brest. Manchester United have also entered advanced talks to send Netherlands forward Joshua Zirkzee, 25, on a season-long loan to Juventus, with an option to buy at £30m included in the deal.

Real Madrid are set to hold further discussions with Vinicius Jr's representatives in an effort to agree a new long-term contract for the 26-year-old Brazil winger, amidst interest from Arsenal. Real Madrid have also made a second offer for Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande, valued between £94m and £98m, though further talks are needed with RB Leipzig.
