Newcastle United defender Lewis Hall has described his decision to remain at the club as a "no-brainer", despite significant interest from Manchester United during the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old left-back, who has recently been recalled to the England squad by Thomas Tuchel, has committed his future to the Magpies by signing a long-term contract.
Hall stated that the speculation did not affect him, viewing it as a positive reflection of his performance. He was convinced to stay after learning the vision of new manager Matthias Jaissle, noting that after a few conversations and training sessions, he knew the manager would be good for the club.
A product of Chelsea's academy, Hall has made 109 appearances for Newcastle over the past three years. His strong form under Jaissle, including a goal in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Hull City, earned him a return to the England fold after being left out of Tuchel’s World Cup plans.
Hall anticipates more transfer speculation in the future but asserts his intention to remain at Newcastle for "a long time", focusing on achieving the club's ambitions game by game.
