Newcastle United have announced that defender Lewis Hall has signed a new long-term contract with the club. The 22-year-old was reportedly a transfer target for Manchester United this summer, but has now chosen to extend his stay at St James' Park.
Hall, who already had three years remaining on his previous deal, expressed his delight, telling the club's website, "I'm absolutely delighted. It's a really proud moment. It's an absolute pleasure to play for this club and to represent the supporters."
Since joining from Chelsea in August 2023, Hall has made 107 appearances for the Magpies. He was part of the squad that lifted the Carabao Cup in 2025, marking the club's first domestic trophy in 70 years. This season, Hall has played every minute under new boss Matthias Jaissle, including three Premier League games and two Carabao Cup victories.
Jaissle praised Hall, stating, "I have been impressed with Lewis since I arrived. He is a very important player for us and for what we are building here, so this is exciting news." The manager added that he believes "the best is still to come from Lewis."
