Liverpool are reportedly considering Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr as they continue their search for a new attacking option. The Merseyside club has not yet made an offer for the Senegal international, but Sarr is among the multiple options being explored to succeed Mohamed Salah.
Sarr, who was linked with Galatasaray earlier this summer, missed Palace's Premier League opener due to medical reasons, according to manager Pierre Sage. Sage confirmed Sarr is under contract and stated, "He's injured and, maybe you can make a link between his injury and the situation, but for me, he's honest, and I have no problem with that."
This interest is not new, as Sarr was a target for Liverpool in 2020 before they signed Diogo Jota. Last season, Sarr scored four goals against Liverpool, including one in the Community Shield and two in the Carabao Cup at Anfield.
Liverpool has faced challenges in securing other targets, with two bids of £50m and £60m for Brighton's Yankuba Minteh being rejected. An offer of €100m for Yan Diomande was also unsuccessful, as he moved to Real Madrid from RB Leipzig. Additionally, Paris Saint-Germain's valuation of Bradley Barcola is reportedly more than Liverpool has been prepared to pay.
