London Spirit's campaign in The Hundred men's competition has ended, making them the first side to be knocked out after a four-wicket loss to MI London at Lord's. MI London successfully chased down a target of 161, reaching 164-6 with six balls remaining.
MI London's chase saw significant contributions from Nicholas Pooran, who scored 39, and Sikandar Raza, making his first appearance of the campaign, who hit a rapid 32 off 16 balls. Sam Curran also added 33 runs to the winning effort.
Earlier, London Spirit posted 160-5, with Lhuan-Dre Pretorius scoring 52 off 28 balls. David Willey contributed 31 and James Coles made an unbeaten 30. The match was played in front of a record group stage crowd for The Hundred, with 27,721 spectators in attendance.
The defeat leaves London Spirit with just one win from six matches, while MI London climb to second in the table, boosting their chances of reaching the knockout stages.
