Manchester City Women's manager Andree Jeglertz has stated it is "business as usual" for the team, despite the club being found guilty of Premier League financial breaches. Jeglertz, who joined City last summer, declined to comment further on how the women's team might be affected by the charges.
The club was found guilty of all charges relating to breaches of Premier League financial rules between the 2009-10 and 2017-18 seasons. The Premier League alleged City arranged "sham contracts" to disguise over £830m in secret funding. Manchester City continues to deny any wrongdoing and has until 2 October to submit an appeal.
City defender Jade Rose echoed the sentiment, stating the women's players had received "the same messaging the public has" from the club and were focused on football. The women's team, who are defending WSL champions and currently top the table, are preparing for their Women's Champions League game against Real Madrid on Thursday.
