James Diggle, 27, has appeared at Liverpool Crown Court to deny three counts of aiding and abetting causing death by dangerous driving. The charges relate to a car crash on East Prescot Road in Huyton, Merseyside, on 24 July.
Four men died at the scene: Jack Diggle, 23, Benjamin Dooley, 23, Andrew Roberts, 24, and Craig Shackleton-Brady, 26. Jack Diggle was James Diggle's brother.
Mr Diggle, of West Derby, Liverpool, was remanded in custody. His trial is set for 22 February next year.
Police were called in the early hours of 24 July after a Seat Cupra Formentor reportedly came off the road after crashing into a lamp-post. An inquest in August heard the four men died of multiple injuries in the single-vehicle collision, which occurred at 01:54 BST on the eastbound carriageway.
