Marc Guéhi, a centre-back by trade, played in central midfield last weekend in Chelsea's victory over Bournemouth, scoring the equaliser. He equipped himself admirably in the blocker role next to Elliot Anderson, often found in more advanced positions.
Guéhi is eager to make a triumphant return to Crystal Palace, and his adaptability in midfield could be a positive for Maresca, despite his long-term future likely remaining in defence.
