Enzo Maresca said Manchester City brought their own noise to Anfield after a 3-0 win over Liverpool in front of a hostile crowd. It was City's first game since being found guilty of 114 Premier League charges.
Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki scored as Maresca's team maintained their 100 percent start to the Premier League season. Liverpool supporters chanted that City were cheats during the match.
City still face potential punishments including expulsion from the top flight or a points penalty that could result in relegation. Maresca's team recorded their joint biggest Premier League win at Anfield.
Maresca said: "It was not easy for the players after the last two or three weeks but they dealt with the situation very well. I said during the week we need to learn how to deal with the outside noise because of the situation. The noise will always be there so we need to learn how to deal with that but at the same time we need to try and bring our noise, which is win games which is what we have done today.
"At the end of the game, our fans were singing so the noise was from us and not the environment. All the away games are going to be with noise so we need to learn how to deal with the noise. And at the same time, we need to make our noise. Our noise is we're singing at the end, our fans, and this has to be our target at the moment."
