Which? research has revealed a wide variation in active ingredients and a lack of evidence-backed dosing in menopause supplements. The consumer group spent many hours researching more than 80 active ingredients found in a range of big-brand supplements.
These ingredients included everyday vitamins and minerals, as well as niche herbal and botanical extracts. The findings were discussed by Which? chief nutritionist Shefalee Loth in a recent episode of Which? Shorts, based on an article she wrote for the September 2026 issue of Which? magazine.
