The Mercury Prize 2026 shortlist has been unveiled, with twelve albums from British and Irish artists vying for the prestigious award. Notable nominees include Paul McCartney for his album 'The Boys of Dungeon Lane' and Dave with 'The Boy Who Played the Harp'.
Other artists making the cut are JADE with her solo debut 'THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!', Nia Archives for 'Emotional Junglist', and Suede with 'Antidepressants'. Florence + The Machine received a fourth nomination for 'Everybody Scream', while Olivia Dean earned a second nod for 'The Art Of Loving'.
The War Child Records charity compilation 'Help(2)', featuring artists such as Arctic Monkeys and Olivia Rodrigo, has also been shortlisted. The winner of the Mercury Prize 2026 will be revealed at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena on October 22.
