A selection box from the 1990s remains uneaten in Middlesbrough, kept in tribute to a young girl who died 36 years ago before she could receive it as a Christmas gift. Susan Peacock was seven when she died in a car accident.
Her father, Stephen Peacock, kept the Cadbury's chocolates she never opened in memory of her. He has now passed the box to Susan's twin sister, Rachel, 42, who stated she will preserve it "for as long as possible".
Rachel posted the vintage box on social media, noting an "unbelievable" response from people with similar memories. She confirmed none of the chocolates have been eaten, though one packet has slightly opened and "it doesn't smell too good". The chocolates have a best before date of June or July 1991.
