Middlesex have confirmed their progression to the One-Day Cup knockout stages following a victory over Derbyshire. Ben Geddes scored 109 and Max Holden contributed 65 for Middlesex, who set a target of 328, ultimately bowling Derbyshire out for 240.
In Group A, the top three teams – Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Lancashire – all suffered defeats. Leicestershire lost to Kent, Nottinghamshire to Gloucestershire, and Lancashire to Warwickshire, leaving their qualification dependent on upcoming matches.
Leicestershire's fate is now out of their hands after their loss to Kent, who were aided by Daniel Bell-Drummond's unbeaten 133. Nottinghamshire, Lancashire, and Surrey are all level on 16 points, four points behind Leicestershire, with their final group games scheduled for Tuesday.
Durham strengthened their position in Group B with a 20-run win against Essex. Meanwhile, Glamorgan secured a two-wicket victory against Worcestershire with the final ball, damaging Worcestershire's chances of reaching the knockout stage.
