Milan's Moebius Milano has been recognised as the best bar in Europe and the second-best globally at the World's 50 Best Bars for 2026 awards. The ceremony, held on Wednesday 7 October, marked the first time the event has been hosted in Italy.
Moebius Milano, which opened in 2019, is located in a former textile warehouse near Milano Centrale. The venue combines a bar, restaurant, and cultural space, offering live music and a record shop alongside its fine-dining restaurant.
The bar's cocktail programme, led by bar manager Giovanni Allario, is known for inventive twists on classic drinks, incorporating ingredients often found in a kitchen. Examples include a pesto martini and a carrot bamboo cocktail.
This year's second-place finish is Moebius Milano's strongest result to date and the highest position ever achieved by an Italian bar. In 2025, it reached seventh place in the global ranking and received the Highest Climber Award.
