Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount is set to miss Wednesday's pre-season encounter with Leeds at Croke Park. Mount was injured during Saturday's draw with Paris St-Germain in Gothenburg, where he was kicked on the foot in the early minutes.

Head coach Michael Carrick stated he removed Mount as a precaution, and the 27-year-old was seen walking freely after the game. However, it is understood Mount has not trained since and is unlikely to feature against Leeds.

It remains uncertain if Mount will be available for Saturday's final pre-season game against AC Milan in Wroclaw. Meanwhile, Argentina defender Lisandro Martinez has trained since arriving at United's camp in the Republic of Ireland, as have England duo Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo, though their participation against Leeds is not confirmed.

The match at Croke Park will mark a historic occasion, being the first time two English association football teams have played at the home of the Gaelic Athletic Association.
