A selection of new and revamped small hotels, inns, and restaurants with rooms across the UK are available for autumn stays. These include properties from Northumberland to Pembrokeshire, offering various amenities and local attractions.
In Northumberland, The Tempus, a 41-bedroom hotel and winner of Visit England’s 2026 gold award for best small hotel, recently introduced eight wooden cabins overlooking its lake. This month, it also launched wellness experiences, featuring yoga and sound baths, alongside foraging workshops.
The Old Bridge Inn in Aviemore, Cairngorms, has recently revamped its seven vintage-inspired bedrooms. This pub and bunkhouse on the River Spey offers access to a shared kitchen and dining room, with family rooms available.
Sussex is home to The Black Horse in Amberley, a new 12-bedroom pub with accommodation. This is the first venture outside London for restaurateurs the Gladwin brothers, who focus on local produce, including beef from their own farm and wines from their vineyard.
Other recent openings include The Abergwaun in Fishguard, Pembrokeshire, a bistro with five rooms launched in July, and The Great Decoy in Hurstbourne Tarrant, Hampshire, which opened in June. The Lister Arms in Malham, Yorkshire Dales, expanded this summer with the opening of Lister Farmhouse, adding 13 new bedrooms.
The Riverside Inn in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, has opened five new bedrooms, while The William Cecil in Stamford, Lincolnshire, which underwent a major renovation two years ago, launched a new botanical-inspired room this summer. Corsham House in Corsham, Wiltshire, a new brasserie and bottle shop with rooms, opened in July.
